How Do You Define Hero?

We started our Civil Rights Movement by asking "What do you think a hero is?"  Many students said that a hero was someone who does good in the world, fights for justice and freedom, saves the day like Batman, Superman, etc.  At the end our unit, we asked the same question to see how our definition changed.
